Since the workshop’s inception in 1988 more than 1,500 people have participated. Members have published short stories and novels. They have also received grants and fellowships from the Pew Foundation, the Leeway Foundation, the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, the Guggenheim Foundation and other prominent arts organizations.
Fall Workshop Schedule
The Tuesday night workshop will meet for eight weeks, from Sept. 12 to Oct. 31. Participation is limited to 12.
Deadline for enrollment is Friday, Sept. 8.

Classes will Zoom, and meet in-person, from 6:45 to 9:00 p.m. Classes are held at the Philadelphia Ethical Society, 1906 S. Rittenhouse Square.
Each member chooses two dates to submit work to the group for discussion. We also read short stories, and excerpts from novels by contemporary authors.
